DEB hATHERELL

Deb is a highly experienced finance and corporate services professional with more than 35 years of experience, including over 20 years in local government. Her expertise spans financial management, budgeting, long-term financial planning, audit coordination and governance reform.


During her 17 years with Gympie Regional Council, Deb held senior finance leadership roles, overseeing annual financial statements, budgets, and financial improvement projects. She also held management roles with Queensland Rail and Caboolture Shire Council, gaining extensive experience in large, complex service and compliance environments.


Deb holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and multiple management qualifications. She is valued for her deep financial acumen, and commitment to delivering reliable and transparent financial outcomes for the organisations she supports.
