Michael is a highly respected and experienced executive-level consultant with more than 25 years of combined executive and advisory experience across local government. 

His career has focused on enabling councils to achieve financially sustainable outcomes through strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, and well-governed organisational systems. His expertise spans all core corporate-services functions - finance, governance, risk, ICT, procurement, and fleet, as well as broader local government management functions.  

Michael’s core strengths include managing organisational and project performance, analysing the financial performance of government business activities, and undertaking comprehensive financial-sustainability evaluations. He is also deeply experienced in reviewing and developing policies, guidelines, and services to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery. 

Renowned for his analytical precision and pragmatic leadership style, Michael has built a strong reputation as a trusted adviser to executive teams, councillors, and audit committees. Holding a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), he is a Fellow of CPA Australia, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and the Immediate Past President of Local Government Finance Professionals Queensland Inc., which provides support and guidance to finance professionals across the Queensland local government sector.
