Janice is an experienced local government accountant with more than 11 years in Queensland councils, supported by a broad commercial accounting background across multiple industries.

Since joining Shave & Brett, she has provided hands-on accounting support to numerous councils, particularly throughout North Queensland, strengthening financial processes and supporting teams through periods of workload pressure, system change or capability uplift.

Janice’s expertise includes statutory reporting, financial statement preparation, external audit coordination, budgeting, reconciliations and system and process improvement. She has strong practical knowledge of TechnologyOne and other SME and ERP systems, and a solid understanding of local government policies, procedures and compliance requirements.

With a Bachelor of Commerce and CPA qualification, Janice brings a methodical, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to continuous business improvement. She is valued for her reliability, attention to detail and ability to quickly integrate into council finance teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
