Janice Barkworth is an accomplished accountant with over 11 years of experience within Queensland's local government sector, complemented by a diverse background in commercial accounting across industries such as hospitality, aviation, banking, disability services, construction, and mining. In these roles, she has demonstrated exceptional financial oversight and strategic management skills.

During her time in local government, Janice led the coordination and preparation of Council’s statutory reporting, including financial reports, and financial statements. She played a pivotal role in external audits and annual budget preparations and was instrumental in driving process and system enhancements. Janice is proficient with a variety of SME and ERP software, including Technology One, and has a deep understanding of local government policies and procedures.

Janice holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a CPA. She is deeply committed to continuous business improvement, leveraging her extensive knowledge and skills to enhance organisational efficiency and effectiveness.
